... I have a problem:
#include <I2C.h>            //https://github.com/rambo/I2C
#include <OneWire.h>         //https://github.com/rambo/I2C

I have only the I2C.h ...... the other Onewire.h  is the same link to github.com rambo ......but I cant find it,who points me into the right direction ?

Today I made the libraries instructions for the RGB eParrot.

I can't find where you are getting the link #include <OneWire.h>   //https://github.com/rambo/I2C
It should be: #include <OneWire.h> //https://github.com/bigjosh/OneWireNoResistor

Today I say it came out the original post at the beginning from Edwin, where it all started, see the sketch from Edwin with all the includes links mentioned in his sketch.

I think I have solved it as I took the one you are using. :)
Now another challenge how to get the sketch into arduino software so I can check if the compiler works.
Can I copy Edwin his original post and paste it or is there anoither way.

Look I know I can start study arduino further but (and I will later ) but now I only want to use it.

Edit : I just noiticed  Edwin has revised that line onewire.h

After installing the Arduino IDE and following the setup instructions for the libraries here, you only need to click on this icon:

For me all seems to be working now thanks to this forum part    Library Hell and How To Fix It
May be a good idea to add it here below ?

after following Library Hell and How To Fix It all went well , so it could be a good help for others too.

Is there any limitation on the size of the SD card ?

I have it on my mind that I have seen that the largest card the shield will take is 2GB, I can only find 4GB locally.

Any advice?

Kingston 4 and 8 GB, and Sandisk 4 GB are working. (tested)
Maximum size seems to be 32 GB (not tested)
Samsung 64GB is not working. (tested)

Hope this helps,

Edwin

I'd think the data logging files would be quite small so a cheap 2 GB microSD card would be plenty good enough.
Smaller capacity cards of less than 2 GB are getting more and more difficult to find.
I still have a couple of "antique" 128 MB cards that work well enough to move files to the 3D printer - but size there seems to not be much of an issue.

The cards are also sold by "class" which means transfer speed.
On the Raspberry Pi, class 10 is necessary because the operating system runs from the card.
But for Arduino data logging a cheaper class 4 would be fine.
You can test your cards with free programs to verify both speed and capacity. I find SD Card SpeedOut 0.5 to be more than adequate.

My collection of cards are organized into individual tiny zip-lock bags. Each bag contains a card and a short description of the contents of the card's data.

Good day, first post on this forum. I have introduced myself already with a picture included.

I have read all the posts about building the eParrot and i have ordered all the parts.
I will connect the baro with a angled header so i can unplug if i need to solder on the sheild.

Question after reading everything:

I will use
condensor sensor wich monitors cooling water temperature on P6
boiler sensor on P7
Vapor sensor on P8
Not using 4K7 resistors for each sensor.

So i need to jumper A0 to ground and A1 to ground and all will be good.

Is all above correct?
Thanks in advance.

Welcome aboard - Your proposal seems sound, however I believe that the jumpers should be on A1 & A2.

One of the clever people should be along shortly to confirm which is correct.

I'll chime in here before the clever people get a chance...  :D

YHB is correct. Jumper wire from A1 to ground and another from A2 to ground.

A1 to GND (for boiler pressure) and  A2 to GND (for the missing temperature sensor).

... I will use
condensor sensor wich monitors cooling water temperature on P6...

So if you are adding the third sensor, which triggers an alarm if the condenser is too hot, you will NOT want to put a jumper wire on A2. That will disable the alarm.

I need another RGB eParrot, so I went to buy the bits and pieces from RobotDyn.

They are out of stock of the Uno's and the Data / RTC Shields :(

If I recall correctly Edwin has said elsewher that there is nothing in the code that will prohibit the use of a standard UNO from other manufactures. But What about the Data / RTC shield ?  ??? There are others that look the same but are they?

Out of curiosity I ordered a Deek-Robot and it arrived this week in the mail. It looks OK and should work. Make sure that you either have a CR1220 battery or order one that's include a battery. when my boards arrive I will test the combination to be sure.

You can also wait until after the test, if successful I'm quite happy to mail you one set.

Cheers,

Edwin

I was assuming that setting the Date/Time would be a one off operation.

My clock resets itself every time I switch off or press the reset button, is this expected ?

Battery looks fine, any clues ?

I had the same ,at the beginning it kept the memory, yesterday it failed.
I remembered Shifu about the batt and yep low voltage .....and I changed for a new one ,memory now is ok,so check it again.
The included batt may be old.
A new batt at the local store costs more than the complete shield  :o

Yep, had the same problem.
Replaced the battery (for me about 40 cents) and everything started working just fine.

Then bought a six pack of batteries because the shipping cost more than the batteries!

Bought a five pack of these for 0.60 € including shipping from China.
Sending a letter locally cost more :)

My batteries on the Data Logging Boards arrived upside down and discharged.

Cost me a buck and a few brain cells  ;D

so I bought two of these https://www.aliexpress.com/item/high-quality-One-set-UNO-R3-CH340G-MEGA328P-for-Arduino-UNO-R3-NO-USB-CABLE/32697443734.html?spm=a2g0s.9042311.0.0.lAwT5Z what board should I be selecting in the ino? I have tried arduino mega and arduino uno both reakon the sketch is to big. Have I selected the wrong board in thew ino or been sold a dud?
