It looks very fine,a nice warm label , inviting you to have a sip  :)

I have small ketel3 labels and write by hand  what it is,  percentage , and year ,but it looks far from perfect  :-\  so some day have to work on that.

If anyone is in the slightest bit interested.

"Smoggie" is an affectionate endearment that people refer to residents of my home town.

It is a gesture of respect that they pay to remind everybody the contributions that our town made to the World; Iron Steel, Shipbuilding, Bridges etc etc. while at the same time the residents tolerated somewhat less than perfect air conditions and a river that was so polluted you could develop photographic film in it, hence the name Smoggie.

Alas things have changed now salmon and seals have returned to the river, the sites of industry that built Sydney harbour bridge and the first passenger railway have been converted into rolling parks and liesure facilities.

It is good that people remember the Smoggies and fitting that we name a local rum after it.

Thank you Eucy ;)

Where have all the miners gone, long time ago?
Where have all the steel mills gone?
Gone to China, every one!

Brain can you give a bit more info how to delete the org tekst and how add the new tekst ?

I will try.

To say it is very simple.

Using graphics editing software;

1) Copy an area of the label, that is the same colour as the text background.
2) Paste the copied area over the text you want to delete/hide.
3) Insert the text that you want to add, change the properties, location and orientation of the text to match your requirements.

There are many pieces of picture editing software that you can use to acomplish these tasks.

1) I use something called Photo Impact by Ulead, I have grown up with this and I like it but it is now no longer available.

2) Adobe Photoshop seems to be the industry standard and favourite of many, but too expensive for me and too complicated for my needs.

3) I am sure that MS Paint could do the job but I have never used it.

4) If I was starting over I would go for "Gimp"   a sophisticated FREE open source graphics package that looks very impressive. https://www.gimp.org/downloads/

If you want to go through the pain barrier with Gimp then perhaps I can help. Let me know and I will install Gimp on my PC and have a play around with it.

Thanks Brain.
I ones knew a website where old software can be downloaded ( it was on my old pc),so Ihave a look there first, and see if I can find what you use, photo impact.

I had a attemp this morning but the bend tekst is the challenge.
I found a piece of ms software that can work with all kind of ms software like word paint etc,and does the trick bending the tekst,as I see that as the greatest problem.
To remove the tekst is easy, fill the color also.

I think my rum needs a fine warm label after aging,so have quit some time to practice   :)

In the illustration I used, I did not bend the text.

I place one letter at a time and rotate it to suit. It sounds a lot but it's only a couple of minutes work.

But it looks so good like you did it.

Thanks for the tips.

Feeling sorry for myself, my back is playing up and stopping me working in the shed, so I am having a play with this instead.

A way of trying to get me to be able to identify what I am drinking and if I like it, how to do it again.

Its better than writing on the bottle with a felt tipped pen, and I am convinced it makes the booze taste better.

Next one will add the Oaking / Aging information.

By the way I like dogs,do you have one?

Ok back to buiness ,this morning I tried someting with a program called  paint.net. it is like ms paint but with more options  and it is a free program to use.
But I have to practice a little.
