Lab in the EU for testing purity?
« on: September 13, 2018, 03:03:49 AM »
I was thinking if there was any lab in the EU which could perform some standard testing of alcohol?

Anyone has a clue, and is it expensive? I was primarily interested in fusel oils (ie contaminants).

Cheers!

Somehowe I overlooked this posting.
Well I have seen several lab test results ,and one thing I can say is that the home made booze is better and lower on methanol as from the huge distillerys, this will be  also for fusil oils and tails as  that is one of the reasons they put it in a barrel for years.
We  make proper cuts ,they want to squeeze every drop out of it.

Ok about fusil oils read the forum topic from Edwin and me about the test with the peristaltic pumps ,as you want to get rid of fusil oils this is the way to go.
It is possible to do without pumps and monitor the discharge dripping and adjust manualy, with a needle valve.

cheers k3
