4" sight tower flange question for glass column
« on: July 07, 2017, 04:39:23 AM »
Im kicking around the idea of a modular glass column.  4" ish  borosilicate, 2-4 bubble cap plates (single large cap) for flavor, packed section above for neutral.

What are the dimensions of vision's sight tower flanges on the glass side?  Or vice versa the glass chimneys it usually holds (id, od, wall thickness)? Im just at the thinking stage and want to price compare a long boro tube with slide in plate tree vs individual chimneys. And a glass packed section (just fun and aesthetics) vs stainless.

Boro likely to come from

So lots of options for exact od/wall thickness.  Unless I find a used score somewhere along the way.
Thoughts?
Also, any suggestion for just how thick boro is needed, I have some experience with lab glass, but not a 4" x 24-48" column!
Thanks!
